Product Engineer, Full Stack
Overview
We are looking for a full stack engineer to lead the evolution of our software products. Our flagship product is the industry leading web based grateful patient platform, Honor Your Caregiver (HYC). Foundations at health systems use HYC to stand up dynamic web sites that allow patients to write stories of gratitude / feedback to the caregivers they recently interacted with. This bespoke content management system has a non-trivial backend that ingests large amounts of data daily that is used for various end uses: driving data modeling, generating campaigns, and more.
Job Responsibilities
- Implement user-facing features and enhancements by working across the stack
- Build delightful experiences for our UI and API layers
- Enable rapid execution by making well-informed product decisions on the undesigned details of a product
- Build a deep understanding of upstream/downstream systems and processes and how they shape data model design and impact adjacent systems
- You may be suited for this role if you
- Enjoy building web products and features that our customers interact with regularly
- Can build a great experience even when working from low-fidelity wireframes
- Strive to push the bar for product quality for yourself and those around you
- Want to deeply understand users, their problems, and how to solve them
- Can stitch together many different services and processes together even if you have not worked with them before
- Enjoy being a generalist working on both the frontend, backend, and anything it takes to solve problems and delight users both internally and externally
Skills and Qualifications
- 5+ years of as a full stack engineer
- Ruby ideally, or Python
- Rails ideally, or Django
- Comfortable writing vanilla JavaScript
- Experience with a front-end JavaScript library like React is a plus
- HTML and CSS
- SQL
- AWS experience is a plus
